Amish Country Quilt Shop Hop, October 31 & November 1, 2, 3
This will be our 7th annual shop hop with twelve quilt shops joining together to create this fabulous four day event. The quilters hop from shop to shop. The shops are located throughout the rolling hills of the Ohio Amish Community. The dates for 2007 are October 31, November 1, 2 and 3.
This year’s theme is "Patches 'n Petals". The fabrics and patterns are all coordinated together to represent this theme. Quilters are given a passport at the first stop, and they must have it stamped at each shop to be eligible to win prizes. Each “Hopper” receives a free pattern and can purchase a fabric kit at each of the twelve shops. Prizes (over 700) are awarded throughout the four day event with a chance to win one of the many grand prizes given away.

Downtown Sugarcreek
Christmas service begins with music on the square in downtown Sugarcreek at 5 p.m. follwed by a message from a member of the Sugarcreek Ministerial Association. Free hot chocolate will be served; story time at the library for children and a Live Nativity scene will take place. Special sales and incentives at local stores from 6 p.m. to as late as 10 p.m., will be held. A Sugarcreek community gift basket will also be given away.
